22 January 2026 — JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London
The 17th Annual Marine Money London Ship Finance Forum brought together more than 300 senior professionals from across the global maritime finance ecosystem — including shipowners, operators, banks, financiers, investors and service providers — for a full day of strategic thinking, debate and relationship-building in the heart of London’s shipping finance community.
We were proud to be part of this influential gathering. Our Managing Director, Dipak Karki, served as a panel moderator, guiding conversations around some of the most dynamic themes facing shipping today — particularly the intersection of finance, technology and commercial decision-making.
Dipak’s insights emphasised the ongoing need for innovative financing solutions that reflect evolving market realities, from sustainability-linked capital structures to risk mitigation in volatile cycles. His moderation helped bring forward practical perspectives from owners, lenders and investors alike — making clear that collaboration and data-driven decision-making will be central to how the industry navigates 2026 and beyond.
Some of the key themes that emerged throughout the day included:
Capital allocation in uncertain markets: With global trade patterns in flux, investors and shipowners are focusing on disciplined deployment of capital, balancing risk and return in S&P and newbuild decisions.
Technology and data: Panels explored how data analytics and digital tools are reshaping valuations, risk assessment and operational efficiencies — underscoring an industry shift toward tech-enabled finance strategies.
Sustainability and financing: As regulatory pressure increases, sustainability-linked financing structures continue to gain traction — offering both strategic and commercial value.
For DK2, participating in — and moderating at — events like this reaffirms our commitment to not just understanding market forces but helping shape effective financial strategies that address both long-standing and emerging challenges for shipowners and investors.
